CollapseAccomplishments

Highlights:

Successfully implemented a major reorganization of a millwork business, including shop and office processes, IT, and accounting. Result: Greatly improved efficiency, increased throughput, and greater security. Developed and released a total of eighteen tire projects involving sales in excess of $250 million per year. Near the end of the development cycle, production launch was accelerated by six months, forcing all component development to be completed much earlier than originally planned. Result: Successfully launched all projects ahead of schedule, resulting in a very large positive impact on the bottom line. Developed and released a total of nine tire projects involving sales in excess of $60 million per year. The tires were primarily designed for heavy duty commercial use, which required significant effort to correctly balance performance parameters. Result: The tire projects were released for production on time and within budget, and became the preferred tires in program. Implemented SAE J2452 (Stepwise Coastdown RR test method) into tire test system. This involved development and implementation of a new testing process, new data file generation methodology, data analysis and reporting, and a new database to store and retrieve data. Developed multi-step tire RPK test and analysis to improve understanding of tire behavior. Implemented tire Cold/Warm RR ratio into the current test process. Also, trained and managed lab personnel. Result: Major improvement in methodology for test systems. Responsible for upgrading test equipment, design and implementation of new equipment, and new techniques for new testing tools. Designed and developed a new test system which would automate the measurement process and streamline workflow. Result: Realized a four-fold improvement in test resource capacity while greatly improving test accuracy and repeatability. Received a CEO Achievement Award. Successfully developed and released two lines of RunFlat tires for the replacement market. Developed an indoor durability test to duplicate outdoor test. Initiated development of wheel insert for high-aspect-ratio tires to improve zero-pressure durability. Developed and implemented an outdoor rim roll-off test for low and zero pressure validation. Evaluated various aftermarket Direct Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems to be used in conjunction with RunFlat tires. Result: Major improvements were made in RunFlat technology.
