Dear Employer: Please accept this letter in application for the position of Pharmaceutical Sales Representative for a territory in the State of Wisconsin. I am excited about the possibility of continuing my sales career in Pharmaceutical Sales. As a person who has been in business-to-business sales for the past 20 years and recently earned my Certified National Pharmaceutical Representative (CNPR) certification, I have the knowledge, drive and energy to assist a pharmaceutical company to maximize profit and customer satisfaction while striving to be the leading pharmaceutical company in the marketplace. Although I do not have first hand experience as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative, I do posses an ample amount of business-to-business sales experience as presented in my resume and the willingness to learn and take on new challenges. As a member of Blue Cross Blue Shield/Unity Health Insurance’s agency sales department, I initiated and developed their current service area. This involved licensing, training, and servicing the independent sales force. I was also responsible for implementing new benefits,training employees and staff, and servicing the businesses that purchased my product. I assisted and led multidisciplinary teams to enhance the carrier’s current product portfolio, services, marketing campaign, and flow chart process. As noted on the attached resume, I have a proven track record of success. My job duties with my current employer involve cold calling, fact-finding, presenting, implementing benefit packages, training of staff and employees, servicing, cross selling and nurturing my current clientele and prospective businesses. In most cases the CEO or CFO of the business is my contact. I have clientele that range in size from 1 to 1,000 people with union and non-union employees. Given my past and present work experience, I can provide insight into the thought process of CEOs and other decision makers in a business. I also have the experience to implement, train and service businesses that purchase my products. I have a reputation of being easy to work with and striving for the common good of all parties involved. Being in sales, I am not afraid of putting in the long hours necessary to be a success.
