Will Relocate:

My goal, my single overriding passion, is, as Hemingway put it, "To get the words right." For you. That means bringing my award-winning skills as a marketing and advertising copywriter and editor--and my superhuman deadline-hitting capabilities--to work for your organization.

As part of thousands of advertising, marketing and journalism-based pieces published, I have garnered the following: Led Fortune 500 leader J Walter Thompson in its first-ever pursuit of CRM (and e-CRM) marketing for Ford Motor Company, from conception to writing more than 400 pieces of content. My meticulous planning, stellar copy, and out-of-the-box work ensured the pursuit was a success. Result: highly satisfied client and more work. As Web Editor for American Short Fiction I created a position where none had existed previously, thereby increasing traffic to the web site by 30% inside six months on the job. As Books Editor of Front Porch Journal I turned a department with poor organization and communication into a finely-tuned system by instituting many of the organization's operating standards, including creating a document formats for books requests and reviews, clear editorial communication between myself and writers. I established social media protocol where there was previously none. As Instructor for Texas State University I won the university's annual Award of Excellence in Writing and Teaching. My student's work was produced on NPR's prestigious "This I Believe" program. As Assistant PR Director and Webmaster at WDET-FM I created an online presence where none had existed from html programming to creating web marketing copy, art and e-newsletters, increasing donors by more than 10 percent in my first three months. As Online Writer and Editor at Visteon Automotive Systems my feature and high-tech article of the Technology Development Department increased patent applications companywide. My written introductions of National Book Award winners of Tim O'Brien and Denis Johnson were so effective, both men cried. Video available at Samples of my corporate portfolio available at
