As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer with 20 years experience, who has supervised/lead up to 17 personnel, trained/coached/mentored, and motivating personnel improving moral, and performance, ultimately producing safer, more harmonious working environments, and efficient quality oriented teams. I am accustomed to successfully adapting to the challenges of a Team Leader/Member, coordinating and rising to the demands/challenges of multitasking, joggling various projects at once. Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, workflow and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency, estimation of production times, staffing requirements, and related costs. Work with suppliers to define specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, and parts. Applies statistical methods to design and optimize manufacturing processes. Identify, research, develop, establish methods, and manage development programs that bring new ideas and technologies to practical application in the manufacture and production of Airframes (Fuselage), Interiors/Passenger Accommodations, Wing Structures, Electrical Systems Assembly (PCB), Wire Bundles, Wire Harnesses and Routing, and Tubing, (Fixed Wing 7 years, ROTO Wing 13 years). Technically, I also maintaining an advanced working knowledge and expertise in the application of engineering principles in the areas of; Production Start Ups, collaborating, negotiating with associated departments, preparing (CDS) Commitment Development Schedules, (MWS) Manufacturing Work Statements for related organizations to accommodate the build of Basic and Customer Variable Installation requirements. Incorporated (ECM’s) Engineering Change Memos, (ADCN’s) Advanced Drawing Change Notices and final (DCN’s) Drawing Change Notices, creating new and or reworking Tooling Families, creating new and or revising (BOM) Bill of Materials and sequence of operations as required. Analyzed Engineering data to design and develop by CATIA V3 & V5, to build and manipulated (VPM) Virtual Product Models of Major, and minor assemblies, to create (PI's) Production Illustrations. Utilize and applied Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma principles through statistical analysis to stream line, optimize processes, reducing set up and run times, material waist, production cost, and achieving higher quality, operating metrics. Applied (Root Cause) Analytical Problem Solving/Corrective Action techniques to develop innovative solutions to complex Engineering, Tooling, Manufacturing and Production malfunctions and problems. Reducing and or eliminating reoccurring Nonconformance issues, reducing rework, scrap and cost. Also utilized Kaizen - Continuous Production Improvement techniques, to refine, enhance, and optimize processes, profoundly increasing production rates and efficiency.
