  • Managed Engineering Department in an “engineer to order” organization consisting of 50 professionals in software, hardware, and mechanical engineering and support staff in Document Control. Personally reviewed new product introductions from R&D for product reliability, documentation completeness and clarity, cost, and engineering support requirements as responsible manager of product support. Implemented new engineering change control process for revising 80,000+ revision-controlled documents and parts. Justified and implemented new product lifecycle management software for 40,000 government-regulated document control records. Maintained and tracked performance to the engineering master schedule while coordinating customer and production demands within Software Systems Development, Hardware Systems Development and Mechanical Design for customer-specified aircraft systems using MS Project. Over 10 years supporting internal and external sales representatives through analysis of customer requirements and counterproposals in Request for Proposals/Quotes. Recruited, managed, and trained over 20 successful additions to the Engineering Department at various levels. Established goals and tracked performance for each member of the department.
