  • Developed a Planning System which cross-functionally communicates Warehouse Fulfillment Capacity and Demand for Literature and Drug Sample Warehouses. This system becomes the focal point between Sales and Operations in resolving Capacity and Demand Conflicts. Selected Contributions:  On-Time Shipping for Literature Warehouse improved from 59.2% in July 2008 to 99.3% in February 2009  Designed and published Warehouse Metrics Reports  Provided Data Analysis and designed reports on Operations productivity for use in Operations, Sales, Finance and Quality Assurance  Closely collaborated with IT to automate the Planning System and Metrics Reports

  • Initiated formal Production Planning for the company. Through the formal Planning System, provided Sales with lead-times for customer products and committed ship dates for clients. Provided Capacity and Demand analysis for both High Volume/Low Mix and Low Volume/High Mix products. Selected Contributions:  Improved On-Time Delivery from 30% to 80% in 7 months.  Facilitate daily production focus meetings to provide Sales, Purchasing, and Engineering current production status of work.  Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure on time delivery of materials to meet delivery objectives, after which shipping acknowledgements are provided to Sales.

  • Developed a formal planning process. Also reorganized inventory to improve inventory accuracy. Developed process to proactively communicate updates regarding production schedule and any potential negative impacts to delivery schedule. Selected Contribution:  Create the Master Production Schedule for both Fabrication and Coating Departments  On-Time Delivery metric for the Fabrication Department increased from 68% to 92% over a six month time-frame.  Reorganized all Fabricated Stock into random stocking locations.
