Products included SCSI Host Bus Adapter, SCSI RAID Controllers, SCSI Expander ASIC products, Disk Drives, and Fibre Channel Storage Area Network (SAN) Switches Key Accomplishments: • Coordinated merger of equivalent product offering from both pre-merger Compaq and HP, resulting in the new HP’s first common product offering. Required flexible leadership abilities to merge functional teams made up of cross-organizational members from different corporate cultures. Delivered product per schedule and market requirements, resulting in $50M in yearly revenue • Represented Compaq’s interest in the industry standards SCSI Trade Association (STA). Elected to Board of Directors, giving Compaq stronger presence and input to technical and marketing standards • Successfully assumed leadership of internal design team of Senior Electronic Engineers co-developing industry’s only ULTRA320 SCSI expander ASIC, essential component in Compaq’s ULTRA320 SCSI storage solutions. ASIC allowed for sustained revenue stream of ~$15M / quarter for CY2003 & 2004, and direct revenue expectations of $1M in design royalty payments • Wrote article published in the March 2001 release of RTC Magazine. Article based on SCSI expander technology, giving Compaq greater product recognition and highlighting this ASIC use and benefits
