  • Our farm includes 100 commercial cows and two chicken (layer) houses. The farm requires the complete use of my business skills to manage time, employees, cash flow, purchases, financial statement preparation, and cash flow/income forecasting.

1/1995 - 1/1998

Harvey Lumber Company


  • Responsibilities included financial statement compilation for three locations and consolidating the financials, developing auditing procedures for handling cash, implementing perpetual inventory audits, and creating spreadsheets in Excell for various reporting and forecasting, such as income and cash.

7/1993 - 1/1995

Columbus Regional Healthcare


  • Responsible for maintaining the property accounting system to include the normal activities of additions, deletions, and transferring of assets; To assist in the development of financial feasibility studies on new business opportunities including expansions, acquisitions or mergers using interactive micro-computer modeling; To coordinate the development and implementation of a centralized property accounting system; and to coordinate construction accounting and record keeping with Columbus Regional Healthcare System Planning and Construction Division.

  • Responsibilities in Fixed Assets include: The tracking and reporting of additions, transfers and disposal of assets; reconcile the fixed assets subsidiary ledger to the general ledger; reconcile and report on construction in progress activity by tracking cash flow of expenditure per period and comparing to budget; and to coordinate our conversion upgrade of fixed assets.
