I have broad career experience in large corporations, consulting firms, start-ups, non-profits, and federal government from both an employee and consultant perspective. Some key contributions include: * Managed the SDLC for an enterprise-wide clinical trials system that delivered an n-tier client deployed internationally using Citrix, a web interface into a reporting datamart, and a website for organizational process assets. * Coached client in gaining consensus on and approval for multi-million dollar initiative through increased relationship-building and influential communication skills. * Delivered strategic plan that rationalized a large portfolio of disparate clinical and research systems resulting from corporate mergers– exceeded goal of eliminating 70% of legacy systems. * Developed strategic vision and architecture for multimillion dollar, international pharmaceutical projects. * Working iteratively with research scientists to assess their requirements, developed an enterprise-wide research tool based on SOA principles that provided seamless content management across two merging international companies. * Developed corporate infrastructure plan – Reduced 1st year capital costs by $250,000. * Received corporate recognition for building customer relationships. I offer a comprehensive knowledge of the software delivery lifecycle including enterprise architecture, configuration management, system management, client/server and web development, tools and processes, and information management. I am skilled in building and leading teams, helping them break down old mental maps, and aligning on (and owning) a shared vision. I have coached staff in career development and have assessed their strengths and gaps in technical and relational skills. I have worked with IT Directors and their direct reports in identifying where organizational efficiencies can be realized, where support for systems and processes could be eliminated, and in managing the flow of business requests into their departments. While I have extensive project management experience and I am a member of the Project Management Institute, I do not have PMP certification. If it is a desired qualification for this position, I will obtain PMP certification either before or immediately upon beginning in this role. I am currently preparing for the PMP Certification Exam.
