I am a senior specialist with a vast and diverse amount of experience in fields of pharmaceuticals, heavy industry, hardware, aerospace, and military hardware. I have written and illustrated manuals, flyers, brochures and tooling drawings. I am able to read blueprints and schematics, and create documentation from them. I would like to work at least 10 more years in one position or for one firm.
Physically, I am 5'5", weigh 170 lbs., with blondish/white hair and a moustache. I wear glasses. I am considered to be a physically handicapped person, in that I suffer from chronic pain due to neck/shoulder/arm nerve damage. It does not limit my ability to do my job as a technical writer, but does necessitate my not lifting/carrying anything heavier than 10-15 lbs. Once every month, I have to take a morning off to visit a pain clinic where I have been treated for the past 10 years.
Other than the above, I am a reliable, hard-working person with my own source of transportation. I am willing to perform moderate travel. I am also able to do Quality Assurance work, am able to use various measuring tools - Mics, verniers, hardness testers, etc. I am able to evaluate soldering, drive a forklift, or perform dye-pen exams.
I taught high school for 12 years. I am able to create lesson plans, manage small groups, and do multi-media presentations. I am able to use all MicroSoft programs. I am familiar with AutoCad, CAD-13, Lotus, and Corel Draw.
