Description
Although I have an undergraduate degree in psychology, I entered the broadcast engineering field working my way up to a corporate managerial position as Chief Engineer at KFOX in the Los Angeles major market. Besides the technical responsibilities I had the typical managerial responsibilities of budgets and employees. I transitioned into television where I have had a long career as a television broadcast engineer with network news, ABC Sports, and various stage productions including 14 years producing the Academy Awards. Three years ago I re-entered academia and completed a Master of Arts degree in Negotiation, Conflict Resolution and Peace-building. I have completed post graduate advanced mediation certification at the Los Angeles Bar Association (LACBA) where I now do volunteer community mediation work with the LACBA. Further, I am involved in post graduation studies in family dispute resolution (FDR) which is perhaps one of the most difficult areas in the ADR field. Upon completion of my FDR studies I intend to further my experience in the ADR field by working pro bono with the ADR department of the Los Angeles Superior Court.
