Highlights:

At Nielsen, I was warned that the biggest obstacle I would come across in increasing employee engagement, morale, and overall job satisfaction was the silo effect that was predominant in the organization. After looking at 2018 My Voice Gallop Poll and spending time with the individual employees/teams, I understood the challenge and took it on head first. I initiated morning coffee events, happy hours, training events both in and out of house, holiday/achievement celebrations, and an open door atmosphere in which employees could come to me for anything they needed assistance with or was concerned about without fear of reprisal or upsetting their leaders. What was said in my office stayed in my office. By the time the six-month soft poll was taken, employee engagement and job satisfaction were up over 20% in my organization of over 450 employees both nationally and internationally.
