Responsibilities
Most recently I was involved with the Trial Advocacy Board at LSU Law. I was the chairperson for our interschool trial competition. In this position, I worked closely with local district judges to create a fictional case which would excercise fundamental trail advocacy skills. During this time, I also led the first place team in a separate trial advocacy competition, winning First Place Team, as well as Top Overall Advocate.
Previously, I worked as an intern for the Louisiana Department of Revenue in the Sales Tax Policy Division. While there, I was assigned to research possible safe sales tax safe harbors for out-of-state retailers selling goods over the internet. This was a cutting-edge research position which gained heightened importance for retailers after the Department won a landmark case against Dell in Louisiana v. Dell Intern.
