BMW Oversaw and managed over 36 Ready Mix facilities across the Carolinas consisting of more than 500 employees ranging from plant managers, drivers, truck maintenance, plant maintenance, quality control, I.T., human resource, dispatch center, administrative staff, and safety. Shared responsibility with the District manager and Vice President for all strategic decision-making and strategies including: sales, business development, staffing, promotions, inventories, training, profit and loss statements (Ebitda), customer service issues, capital improvements, management costs, safety culture development and training( OSHA demands), enforcing strict quality control programs, inventory control, improving operating efficiencies( facility and truck), leveraging computer technologies and training, capitalizing on talent and development, and managing administrative functions ranging from account receivables to accounts payables for the continuing operation of 36 Ready Mix facilities. KEY ACHIEVEMENTS: * #1 Safety Award for the Carolinas for 2008, 2009, 2010 at fourteen facilities * Achieved Environmental Excellence Ready Mix Award for the entire United States (Lancaster, SC) * Co-ordinated, managed, and directed the delivery of over 1,000,000 yards of concrete used to build Nuclear power plants, waste water management facilities, bridges, schools, hospitals, fire stations and homes under strict quality control demands and intense time deadlines. * Identified as an Industry Expert and an accomplished leader demanding results in all projects * Sox/Pacs compliance officer for the Carolinas * Exceeded production and profit expectations every quarter for the last 7 years * Maintained highest employee retention rate throughout the company by using interpersonal skills and effective management techniques. (98.9% retention rate) * Hired, trained and developed a high performing team of 36 plant managers and 1000 plus drivers * Reduced material expenses by 1.2 million dollars by utilizing different sourcing and delivery methods * Invented, introduced, and executed a competition program between facilities and staff using key performance indicators to reward individuals for outstanding safety, production, environmental, and profit saving initiatives which was later adopted by 12 regions. (CEMEX Way Football Challenge). * CRMCA Environmental Excellence and Improvement Leader (2008, 2009, 2010), using environmental friendly products to achieve LEED certifications on construction projects and Ready Mix facilities. * Chairman of the Safety Committee ( 2008,2009,2010) * Promoted, trained, developed, and certified all my direct reports from within the organization. DuPont studied and incorporated this integration process to incorporate their diverse acquisitions to put vertical operations on one platform for horizontal effectiveness. * Marshaled diverse resources and personnel including Executive management teams I.T. experts sales teams call center managers plant managers electrical contractors mechanical contractors safety directors administrative office staff and human resource officers at 324 ready mix facilities across the country with a corporate deadline of 2 years which was accomplished. * Demonstrated ability to organize multi-task and transform a diverse national company into a unified corporation operating on the same corporate platform all under a HIGH STRESS timeline environment. Responsibilities also included 100% functionality of networks mechanical and electrical systems and administrative functions.
