Daily Duties at William S. Hart Union High School District:

 Assess students for special education services for both initial evaluations and tri-annuals through use of a variety of diagnostic tools, interviews, review of records and observations, including alternative assessments, at the elementary and secondary school level.  Convey results in multidisciplinary psycho-educational assessment reports.  Present assessment results at the student’s IEP.  Consult with teachers, administrators and staff at a variety of levels regarding student’s academic and behavioral needs in the classroom.  Conduct Functional Analysis Assessments (FAA) for students with severe behavioral needs.  Attend and facilitate Student Study Team (SST) meetings between parents and school staff.  Counsel individual students.  Facilitate a social skills group for students.  Consult with teachers, resource specialists, parents, administrators, DMH, DCFS, social workers and other specialists regarding student needs.
